My Philosophy

It’s never lost on me how lucky I am to be doing what I love every day. Each headshot and family portrait is a unique opportunity for me to exercise my skills and build new relationships. Beyond the studio, my greatest passion and talent is showcased when I’m capturing couples and their loved ones on their wedding day.

When I’m welcomed into a couple’s wedding as their photographer, I view my role as much more than just a job. From the first consultation to the final details at the rehearsal, I fully immerse myself in each couple’s unique experience.

I strive to become a “part of the family” when I shoot weddings, getting to know brides and grooms together and as individuals - along with the members of their wedding parties. I get into the mix, and always keep things light and organic. As a result, my photographs naturally capture the true essence of a wedding.

After 10 years of shooting weddings, I still believe that each and every couple is unique, and therefore each and every wedding day is unique. The best and only way to capture the true essence of a couple’s special day is to get to know the couple and become a part of the whole experience. As the wedding day draws nearer, clients begin to feel more like friends and sometimes even like family. I believe that a wedding is about bringing two people together, but also about bringing two families together - each with its own traditions, quirks, and personalities.

The part of being a photographer I treasure the most is getting to grow with my clients. I often have the pleasure of meeting a couple during their engagement session, capturing their wedding, and continuing to document their lives together as their family grows and celebrates special events.

Photography, to me, is about building relationships and capturing those once-in-a-lifetime moments that make every journey unique. I love getting to know people and finding out what makes them tick, what’s important to them, and what makes them genuinely smile!
